The issue of one who finds it difficult to be just between his wives due to work or the like
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Honorable Shaykh! A man has two wives, and each of them is in a place far from the other, so it is not possible for him to be just in lodging. Knowing that his place of work and trade is with one of the wives, which necessitates that he spend a longer time with her than with the other, is this husband sinful in this case or not?
It must be looked into whether the two wives are satisfied with this situation or not. If they are satisfied, the matter is clear; because the right belongs to them, so if they are pleased with what the husband does, there is no problem.
If each one demands her right, he must correct the situation. If he stays with one of them for six days, he must stay with the other for six days as well, if it is difficult for him to go back and forth every day, or according to what they agree upon.
And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
