Ruling on saying: “I have relied on you after Allah”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
It is known in the Shari'ah that it is permissible for a person to say: “Were it not for Allah, then the doctor,”Is it permissible for a person to say: “I have relied on you after Allah?”

There is no harm in saying: “I have relied on you after Allah,”And you must know that the saying of the one who says: “Were it not for Allah, then the doctor,” one must not believe that the doctor is equal to Allah (Mighty and Majestic),Because many of the common people say: “Were it not for Allah, then so-and-so,”And they do not distinguish between this and his saying: “Were it not for Allah and so-and-so,” we must remove from people the exaltation of causes, and we must make clear to them that it is obligatory to rely on Allah alone, and to believe that this is a cause that may benefit or may not benefit.

I give you an example: Fire is inherently burning, and the enemies of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) intended, by throwing him into it, that he would burn. Did it burn him? No, even though it is undoubtedly a burning cause, but no cause exists except by the permission of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that (black seed is a cure for every disease except death) and yet we find many people use it and die, because causes do not benefit unless Allah (Mighty and Majestic) wills to benefit them.

Therefore, we must make clear to the common people that even if they say: “Were it not for Allah, then the doctor,” it is feared that they will make the doctor, who is a cause, like the Lord (Glorified and Exalted is He), who is the Creator of the cause (Glorified and Exalted is He), and we must direct people to rely on Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and to know that these causes are merely causes that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has established, so all the favor is for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and all matters belong to Allah, but unfortunately, most people today rely on doctors, medicines, and hospitals, and they forget the Creator (Glorified and Exalted is He), and this is a trial, we ask Allah to save us and you from it.
As for absolute delegation, this is not permissible except for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but if it is in a specific matter, there is no harm. For example, if a person appoints someone to buy for him or sell for him, he has relied on him.
