Ruling on returning the greeting to a neighbor who belongs to the Ismaili sect

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I have a neighbor from the Ismaili sect who greets me. Is it permissible for me to return his greeting, and is it permissible for me to greet him as well?
Yes, return his greeting. Treat them as they treat you, and call them to Allah (Mighty and Majestic); for a person is responsible for calling to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and the neighbor has the strongest right to be called to Allah. So you should call him to Allah, either by asking him to visit you or by visiting him yourself, and call him to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and make the truth clear to him. A person, by his innate disposition, is inclined toward the truth. As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Every child is born upon the fitrah (the innate natural disposition), then his parents make him a Jew, or a Christian, or a Magian).
