Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (His sight did not swerve, nor did it transgress)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Najm: 17] The sight of whom? The sight of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (Nor did it transgress) The scholars say: (swerved) means: deviated to the right or left. (Transgressed) means: went beyond what was before him.Meaning: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of perfect propriety in this great station. He did not look to the right or left, nor did his gaze go beyond what he was permitted. This is part of the perfection of his propriety (peace and blessings be upon him). It is customary for a person, when entering an unfamiliar house, to look to the right and left, asking, "What is this house?" Especially if it has changed greatly at that moment, he must look to see what has happened. But due to the perfection of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) propriety, his composure (peace and blessings be upon him), and his bearing what no other human being can bear, he attained this great propriety.
(His sight did not swerve) The sight of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him),Meaning: did not deviate to the right or left. (Nor did it transgress) means: it did not go beyond what was before him. Rather, he was at the peak of perfect propriety (peace and blessings be upon him). And for this reason, Allah said of him: [Surah al-Qalam: 4] .

(Nor did it transgress) means: it did not go beyond what was before him. Rather, he was at the peak of perfect propriety (peace and blessings be upon him). And for this reason, Allah said of him:
