Discussion of the poet's saying: "Let the days do what they will"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
[Discussion of the poet's saying: "Let the days do what they will"]
May Allah forgive you, O Shaykh,The saying of the poet:
Let the days do what they will, and be of good heart when the decree is made
Is there anything wrong with it, O Shaykh?
Yes, there is certainly something in the first hemistich; because the days do not act,The one who actually acts is: Allah the Mighty and Majestic does; but time may be used to refer to the Actor, who is Allah the Mighty and Majestic,And among that is the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): (Do not revile time, for Allah is time) So the poet may intend by his saying:
Let the days do what they will
He intends thereby the Lord, the Mighty and Majestic,Meaning that he says: Be content with the decree of Allah, as he clarified in the second hemistich:
And be of good heart when the decree is made

In any case: The poet has a perspective in the first hemistich, but there is no objection to the second; But we say: A person should not say this, nor attribute events to their time.
