Ruling on the ma'mum reciting al-Fatihah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q205: The questioner A. A. 'A says: If I enter the prayer shortly before the bowing, should I begin reciting al-Fatihah, or should I recite the opening supplication? And if the imam bows before I finish al-Fatihah, what should I do?
A205: If you enter with the imam before the bowing, you should begin reciting al-Fatihah; because in this case, some scholars have made it obligatory for the ma'mum. So you recite as much as you can. If the imam bows, you bow with him. As for the one who holds that reciting al-Fatihah for the ma'mum is a recommended practice, then this is only according to what is possible, and if he leaves it, he owes nothing; because his recitation is the imam's recitation.
