Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And the ships that sail smoothly)

Allah the Exalted said:
And the ships that sail smoothlyفَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْراً
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 3] (The ships that sail) are the vessels.
(Smoothly) means: with ease,Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said:
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing shipإِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ
[Surat al-Haqqah: 11] means: in the vessel. These vessels sail smoothly by the permission of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), with the good winds that Allah the Exalted makes easy.
And the ships that sail smoothlyفَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْراً
They are: the vessels, sailing by the permission of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) smoothly and easily. The more suitable the wind is, the easier their journey becomes.
Now the vessels have come—those powered by fire—which do not need the wind, so they have become easier and easier. You find them as complete villages, cutting through the waves of the water and moving with ease.

The connection between these three: That the clouds carry the rains, which then descend to the earth, and therein is the provision for livestock and humans.

The ships that sail means: The vessels also carry provisions from one place to another. It is not possible, for example, for provisions to reach from one place to another with a sea between them except by way of vessels.
