Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ghashiyah: 12] And this spring, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has made it rivers [Muhammad: 15] (flowing) meaning: it flows wherever its people wish; it does not require digging a canal or constructing a trench, as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Its rivers flow in no trench, glory to the One who holds them back from overflowing
Allah the Exalted said:
Within it is a flowing spring.
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌwherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey
فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ عَسَلٍ مُصَفّىًIts rivers flow in no trench, glory to the One who holds them back from overflowing
