The ruling on the prayer of one who wears transparent clothing
Covering the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) is a condition of the prayer. Do we oblige the one who wears a transparent garment to repeat the prayer and tell him: Your prayer is invalid?
Yes.
Covering the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) is a condition of the prayer;because of His saying, the Exalted:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjidيَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ
[Al-A'raf: 31] If one wears a garment that does not prevent the skin from being seen, he is exactly like a naked person. This garment is forbidden (haram) for him and not permissible. I do not think anyone wears a complete garment that reveals the skin, but it happens that some people wear short trousers, meaning: they do not reach the knee, and they wear a transparent garment over them.We say: His prayer is not valid, and if he does that, we oblige him to repeat the prayer;Because he did not obey the command of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in His saying:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjidيَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ
[Al-A'raf: 31] , and some scholars have mentioned the consensus that the prayer of one who prays naked while being able to cover his 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) is invalid.
