The Ruling on Praying in a Transparent Garment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the ruling on praying in a transparent garment?
Praying in a transparent garment is permissible if there are trousers underneath that cover the area between the navel and the knee. However, if there is nothing underneath, it is not permissible to wear it in prayer or outside of prayer, because covering the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) is obligatory. And Allah the Exalted said:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjidيَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ
[Al-A'raf: 31] And as for the transparent garment, even if a person wears it without intending to display adornment, what is the benefit if it is transparent? Its presence is like its absence.
