Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Indeed, for those who wronged are burdens like the burdens of their companions)
Then Allah the Exalted said: [al-Dhariyat:59] Those who wronged themselves through disbelief will have sins like the sins of their companions, and sins, in their original meaning, are the bucket or whatever is used to draw water. And the evidence for that is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (Pour over his urine buckets of water) The meaning is: these wrongdoers have a share like the share of those who came before them: [Adh-Dhariyat 51:59] that is, a share of punishment like the share of their companions.
And look how Allah the Exalted named those of distant past times as "companions" of these people; this is because they agreed in denying the truth and in attributing to the Messengers what they do not deserve. They are truly companions, even though the times and places are far apart. (So they do not hasten) The *nun* here is kasrah because it is the *nun al-wiqayah* (protective nun),And the deletion of the pronoun *ya*, and its original form is: so they do not hasten Me. The *ya* was deleted for ease of pronunciation. Therefore, it does not cause difficulty for a person to say: How was the *nun* with (la) the prohibitive particle?
And
That we say: This *nun* is not the *nun* of inflection, but it is the *nun al-wiqayah* (protective nun). Therefore, the verb is in the *majzum* (jussive) case, the *nun* is for protection, and the *ya* which is the object is deleted. And in His saying: (So they do not hasten) This is a clear threat that these people will surely be met with punishment, but they do not hasten Allah the Mighty and Majestic; for Allah the Exalted gives the wrongdoer respite and delays him, until when He seizes him, He does not let him escape. As came in the hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: (Indeed, Allah gives the wrongdoer respite, until when He seizes him, He does not let him escape. And he recited the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are wrongdoers. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe)) [Surat Hud: 102] ).
Then Allah the Exalted said:
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوباً مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِAnd indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors
