Is it permissible to pray in transparent clothes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, is it permissible to pray in transparent clothes?
And what is the criterion for this?
And does a person have to repeat his prayer if he prayed in these clothes?

The Shaykh : If there is something thick underneath the transparent clothes that covers the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered), there is nothing wrong with it. For example, if a man is wearing trousers from the knee to the navel and a light shirt over them, there is nothing wrong with that. The criterion in this matter is that if the color of the skin is visible through the garment, it does not cover.

The questioner : Is the limit the trousers?

The Shaykh : No, no, the limit is not the trousers. The skin must not be visible. If you can say, "This skin is red," then it does not cover. If a person prays in a garment without trousers, in the state I described, his prayer is invalid because he disobeyed Allah the Exalted in His saying:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid يا بني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كلّ مسجد
[Al-A'raf 7:31]
, and Allah the Exalted said:
O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts يا بني آدم قد أنزلنا عليكم لباساً يواري سوءاتكم
[Al-A'raf 7:26]
It is necessary to cover it.
