Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So they transgressed the command of their Lord)]

Allah the Exalted said:
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lordفَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 44] and they did not turn back from their transgression,
so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 44] the bolt of lightning that struck them was a tremor and a shout, (and they were looking on) meaning: they were looking at one another, falling and dropping down dead.
