The Manner of Sa'y and What Is Permissible to Do After Its Completion

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Then he exits the Sacred Mosque heading toward al-Safa, and he takes the left side in his direction toward al-Safa.For example: If there is a crowd or people praying between him and the direction of al-Safa, let him hurry from another place; because the intention is to reach al-Safa.Then when he turns toward al-Safa, he recites:
Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allahإِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ
[al-Baqarah: 158] I begin with what Allah began with.
And before he ascends al-Safa, he should remind himself that he has come to this because it is one of the symbols of Allah. He begins with al-Safa and climbs it until he sees the Ka'bah, turns toward it, and raises his hands for supplication. And he says: (There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no god but Allah alone, He fulfilled His promise, and He gave victory to His servant, and He defeated the coalition alone) and he says takbir, then he supplicates with what he wishes, then he repeats the dhikr a second time and supplicates, then he repeats the dhikr a third time and does not supplicate after it, but he descends heading toward al-Marwah. He walks in his usual manner until he reaches the place of sa'y -Meaning: the running: which is between the two green markers - he runs with great effort as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did, for he ran in this place with great effort until his lower garment would turn around him from the intensity of the running. Then he walks in a normal manner after the second marker until he reaches al-Marwah. He ascends it, turns toward the qiblah, raises his hands, and says what he said on al-Safa. Then he descends from it heading toward al-Safa. He walks in the place of walking and runs in the place of running, until he completes seven circuits from al-Safa to al-Marwah as one circuit, and from al-Marwah to al-Safa as another circuit. In sa'y, he says what he wishes of dhikr or recitation of the Qur'an; because the tawaf of the House, and al-Safa and al-Marwah, and the stoning of the pillars were established for the establishment of the remembrance of Allah. When he completes seven circuits, the sa'y is finished. He shortens his hair and covers all of it as an act of worship to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and he does not shave in order to leave the hair for Hajj. With that, the 'Umrah is finished and he is released from all the prohibitions of ihram. It becomes permissible for him everything that is permissible for one who has exited ihram, such as approaching women if his wife is with him, and perfume and clothing, and other things, except hunting, for it is not permissible for him as long as he is inside the Haram;Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in Makkah: (Do not drive out its game).

Based on that: We point out that the locusts that are around the Haram are respected, and it is not permissible to hunt them or kill them, nor even to drive them away. If you drive them away by passing by them, there is nothing on you, but if you intentionally go to these locusts to drive them away, if you do that, you have disobeyed the command of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) where he said: (Do not drive out its game) and locusts are among the game.
And with this, the 'Umrah is finished, and the mention of Hajj will come, if Allah wills.
