Making up Ramadan: Consecutiveness and immediacy are not obligatory

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A woman has to make up a month of Ramadan; she fasted six days. Is consecutiveness obligatory, or can she fast one day and break the fast the next? The Shaykh: Consecutiveness and immediacy are not obligatory in making up Ramadan. This is why the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), did not make up what she owed from Ramadan except in Sha'ban. However, it is better to hasten and fast consecutively, because that is faster in clearing one's conscience, and so that one may catch up on fasting six days of Shawwal.
