Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Indeed, We sent upon them one cry)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Qamar: 31] Meaning: The enclosure that a person makes for his sheep. I do not know if you know this or not? The Bedouin in the desert makes an enclosure for the sheep out of dry trees, palm fronds, and the like; so that they do not go out; and so that wild beasts do not attack them. This enclosure, over time, with the sun and winds, crumbles until it disappears. These strong, fierce disbelievers who denied their Messenger were like the broken twigs of the enclosure,Meaning: like the enclosure when it is destroyed, and this is among the signs of Allah the Mighty and Majestic and the perfection of His power and dominion: [Surah Ya-Sin: 82] So they were like the broken twigs of the enclosure: [Surah al-Qamar: 17] Its exegesis has been mentioned previously,And We said: The meaning is: that Allah the Exalted made the Qur'an easy,Meaning: He made its meanings easy for whoever reflects upon it, and He made its words easy for whoever memorizes it. So if you direct yourself in a sound manner toward the Qur'an for memorization, Allah will make it easy for you, and if you direct yourself in a sincere manner toward reflection and understanding the meanings, Allah will make it easy for you: [Surah al-Qamar: 17] (Is it) this is to arouse our interest. Allah the Mighty and Majestic arouses our desire to recite the Qur'an so that we may be admonished by it. May Allah make us and you among those who recite it with true recitation in word, meaning, and action. Indeed, He is over all things capable.
