Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And in [the case of] 'Aad when We sent upon them)

Allah the Exalted said:
And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 41] Meaning: And in [the case of] 'Aad are signs
when We sent against them the barren wind.
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 41] 'Aad was in the south of the Arabian Peninsula, and they were a people of great strength,Until they said:
Who is greater than us in strength?
[Surat Fussilat: 15] So Allah the Exalted said:
Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.
[Surat Fussilat: 15] So they were struck by drought and barrenness, and they began to await the rain, so Allah sent upon them the great, severe wind.
And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!"
[Surat al-Ahqaf: 24] Allah said:
Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,
[Surat al-Ahqaf: 24] Allah sent upon them this barren wind that bears no fruit and carries no water, like the barren woman who does not give birth; so this is a barren wind that carries no clouds or rain. This barren wind is the western wind,As it came from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (I was supported by the Sabah and destroyed 'Aad with the Dabur) Meaning: by the western wind.
Allah sent upon them this barren wind
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 42] whatever it passes over, it makes like broken rubble, inert, until it takes a man—may Allah protect us from that—upward and then returns him to the earth, so they became
as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
[Surat al-Haqqah: 7] .
as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.
[Surat al-Qamar: 20] They perished to the last of them.
Reflect on the verse! A people of hardy strength, strong and robust, perished by this gentle wind that has no visible body, and one only feels it without seeing anything, and yet it destroyed them by the command of Allah Mighty and Majestic,For this reason, Allah the Exalted said:
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.
[Surat al-Dhariyat: 42] So in this is a sign among the signs of Allah Mighty and Majestic.
Allah sent upon them this wind and destroyed them to the last of them, so in them are signs.
