If a man marries a woman and has intercourse with her, her ancestors and descendants become forbidden to him, no matter how far removed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A man married a woman who had children. Those children married and had daughters. Is the mother’s husband forbidden to his daughters?
Yes.
He is forbidden to them; because the rule—may Allah bless you—is that when a man marries a woman and has intercourse with her, all of her descendants fall under His saying
your step-daughters under your guardianshipوَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللَّاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمُ
[Al-Nisa: 23]. The rule is: when a man marries a woman and has intercourse with her, her ancestors and descendants become forbidden to him, no matter how far removed, whether they are the daughters of his sons or the daughters of his daughters. Adhere to this rule.Likewise, her ancestors, meaning: Her mother and her grandmothers, whether on the maternal or paternal side, are also forbidden to him. Likewise, if a woman marries a man, his sons, the sons of his sons, the sons of his daughters, and his grandfathers on the maternal or paternal side, as well as his father, are all forbidden to her.
So we have four branches: the husband’s ancestors and the husband’s descendants, and the wife’s ancestors and the wife’s descendants. These branches become forbidden upon the contract. How is the prohibition established? The husband’s ancestors and descendants become forbidden to the wife, and the wife’s ancestors and descendants become forbidden to the husband, except that for the wife’s descendants, it is required that he has had intercourse with her.Meaning: He has had intercourse with her. Take this rule so that you may be at ease; because some people may err in it, even among students of knowledge, but this is the rule. And if it is said: Ancestors and descendants in this context regarding the prohibition of marriage include ancestors on the paternal side and ancestors on the maternal side, and descendants on the side of sons and descendants on the side of daughters, even if he divorces her or she dies.
