The Shaykh : Deal with them as they deal with you, and call them to the truth. Every person who follows a religious innovation should be dealt with as he deals with you, and he should be called to the truth. Many of the followers of the leaders of the people of innovation do not know that they are upon an innovation; they have a good opinion of those they follow and do not know. If you discuss it with them calmly and clarify the truth to them, they will return. Therefore, we must distinguish between the one who calls to innovation and the common follower who does not know. In any case, we deal with them according to how they deal with us, but we call them to the truth and clarify to them the misguidance they are upon from innovations. Perhaps Allah will guide them.
