Explaining the meaning of the hadith: (If a servant whose body I have made healthy)
Your Eminence! The hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (If a servant whose body I have made healthy, and whose livelihood I have made spacious for him, passes five years without coming to me, he is deprived) Does this include Hajj and 'Umrah, or Hajj only?
By Allah, I do not know about this hadith.
The questioner: Shaykh Al-Albani mentioned this in al-Silsilah al-Sahihah from the hadith of Abu Sa'id. If its authenticity is established, O Shaykh, what is the ruling? The Shaykh: It cannot be established. If the meaning is Hajj and 'Umrah, it is never established; because it is authentically reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that when Hajj was mentioned,Al-Aqra' ibn Habis said to him: (Is it every year, O Messenger of Allah? He said: If I had said yes, it would have become obligatory. Hajj is once, and whatever is more than that is voluntary) And if this hadith were authentic, then what is more than that would be voluntary, and there would be an obligation in it, so I think this hadith is not authentic.
