The Shaykh : So now we begin where our lesson left off, which is the twenty-first hadith, according to the numbering of the copy of the book I have, which is a printing by Munir Dimashqi (may Allah have mercy on him). This hadith is from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 32:4. Allah, of course, addresses all His servants on the Day of Resurrection. He reminds you, He reminds them of what He had bestowed upon them, He reminds them of some examples and models, otherwise the matter is as you know from His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He: [An-Nahl 16:18]. So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection in the gathering place addresses every individual among His servants by saying: . The meaning of this interrogative is: Did you fulfill the obligation of gratitude for these blessings that I bestowed upon you, O servant? Did you fulfill the obligation of gratitude for the health that I clothed your body with, and this cold water that I made subservient to you so that you quenched your body and soul with it? Did you fulfill this obligation of gratitude? [Ibrahim 14:7]. The relevance of the hadith is very clear in the chapter, and it is that when Allah, Mighty and Majestic, bestows upon His servants various blessings that are countless and innumerable, and people differ in that, not everyone finds wealth, finds cold water at all times and in all places. But this one who may not find cold water may find a luxurious vehicle, and this is a detail of the previous verse [An-Nahl 16:18]. So the human being is surrounded by thousands upon thousands of divine blessings, Glorified and Exalted is He. Therefore, every Muslim must fulfill the gratitude to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for His blessings, and that is only achieved by realizing the worship of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, alone, having no partner with Him.
