Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Or is it this Qur'an that you are mocking?)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Waqi'ah: 81] Meaning: After this clear explanation of the greatness of the Noble Qur'an, do you mock it?Meaning: The disbelievers mock it, and they remain silent regarding its explanation and acting upon it. This interrogative is for denial, because it is obligatory for one who believes that it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds, that it is a Noble Qur'an, and that none touch it except the purified, it is obligatory for him to be frank and open, and not to be hypocritical. And Allah the Exalted said in another verse: [Al-Qalam: 9] But this is not the case. It is obligatory for the believer to display his religion and take pride in it, and to show a difference from what they are upon. Many people today—regrettably—you find that a man among them, when he stands to pray, is shy to pray, and perhaps he is hypocritical and delays the prayer from its time in agreement with those who do not pray. This is a great error. Rather, it is obligatory for a person to be frank and not be hypocritical in the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
