Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (He knows you best when He created you from the earth)
Then He, the Exalted, said: [Surah al-Najm: 32] So He knows us best since that long, distant time, (when He created you from the earth) By what? By the creation of our father Adam; for Adam was created from dust, then he became clay, then he became a molded clay, then Allah created him with His hands as a body and breathed into him the soul, so he became Adam, a human being. So we are from the earth, Glory be to Allah, are we from the earth?!! Yes, we are from the earth, [Surah Ta-Ha: 55] the extraction after which there is no death, and that is on the Day of Resurrection.
(when He created you from the earth) And so now, the children of Adam are exactly like the earth; among them are the hard, solid, severe, and among them are the soft, and among them is what is in between, and among them are the white, and the red, and the black; because the lands differ in this way. It has been mentioned that when Allah intended to create Adam, He took from every part of the earth, its soft and hard, its black and white.
Then He, the Exalted, said:
He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth
هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِFrom the earth We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.
مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى(when He created you from the earth) And so now, the children of Adam are exactly like the earth; among them are the hard, solid, severe, and among them are the soft, and among them is what is in between, and among them are the white, and the red, and the black; because the lands differ in this way.
