The Danger of the Claim of Convergence Between Religions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is your opinion, may Allah reward you with good, regarding what is called the rapprochement between religions, such as there being a gathering between Muslims and Christians to attempt to strengthen the bonds between them,or between Muslims: the people of the Sunnah and the Rafidah? May Allah reward you with good?
I see, may Allah bless you, that it is not permissible at all for us to affirm that the Christians are upon a religion or that the Jews are upon a religion; they all have no religion; because their religion has been abrogated by the religion of Islam,So that we say: we never affirm this regarding the religions,We say: the Jews are not upon anything and the Christians are not upon anything, and the religion is the religion of Islam,As Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلامِ دِيناً فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
[Al-Imran: 85] .
If that is the case, is it possible to bring close the truth and that which has been abrogated? It is not possible,And that is nothing but compromising, as the Exalted said:
They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ
[Al-Qalam: 9] Yes, if it is a specific, limited rapprochement between one person and another, in order to invite him to the religion of Islam, that is something else,But that we compromise and say: "You, O Jews! are upon a religion, and you, O Christians! are upon a religion, and we are upon a religion; and all religions are divine," this is not permissible.

First: The Torah in the hands of the Jews and the Gospel in the hands of the Christians is distorted, altered, and changed, so it is not upon what the messengers brought.

Second: Even if it were assumed that they are upon what the messengers brought one hundred percent, it is abrogated, and the One who rules over the religions and legislates them is Allah the Creator, Mighty and Majestic,Allah the Exalted said:
And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealedوَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقاً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِناً عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ
[Al-Ma'idah: 48] So the religion of the Jews and the religion of the Christians has ended and it will never be established.

As for the Shi'ah and the people of the Sunnah, each of them says: He is a Muslim, but that must be weighed with the scale of truth, and it must be looked at whether the disagreement between them is like the disagreement between al-Shafi'i, Ahmad, Abu Hanifah, Malik, Sufyan al-Thawri, and others, or a fundamental disagreement in creed. If it is the latter, then it is necessary to invite these people to the religion of Islam, and it must be made clear to them that they are upon misguidance, and it is not possible to bring close Islam and that which is not Islam. Therefore, I see that it is obligatory for the scholars of the people of the Sunnah to call to the Sunnah without attacking by mentioning the invalidity of the madhhab of the Rafidah, for example, who call themselves Shi'ah; because a person, no matter who he is, if he has a principle and is attacked, he becomes defensive and distances himself. But if the Sunnah is made clear to him, and the virtues of the Companions are made clear, especially the Rightly Guided Caliphs Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, and 'Ali, and if the truth is made clear, souls are innately disposed to accept the truth. But what harms people now is the attacking, and this is a mistake and is not from wisdom,Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:
And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledgeوَلا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْواً بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ
[Al-An'am: 108] Even though it is obligatory to revile the gods of the polytheists, but we do not revile them; because if we revile their gods, which are false, they will revile our God, who is the truth. Similarly, regarding the da'wah now, I do not like it when the callers attack, rather I like that they make the truth clear, and if the truth becomes clear, souls are innately disposed to accept it.
