The Ruling on the One Who Abandons Prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The case of those who abandon prayer entirely,Do the rulings of apostates apply to them, such as: hatred, loyalty and disavowal, and rulings like these?
One who abandons prayer entirely must be hated and disliked,And if he dies, it is not permissible for us to say: May Allah have mercy on him. It is not permissible for us to bury him with the Muslims, nor to wash him, nor to shroud him. We take him out in a car outside the town, dig a hole for him—which is not a grave—and throw him in it with his clothes, because this person is a disbeliever. An original disbeliever has some rights, but this person has no right, and it is not permissible for him to remain on earth for the blink of an eye. He has no sanctity. On the Day of Resurrection, he will be gathered with Pharaoh, Haman, Qarun, and Abu Jahl, the heads of disbelief, may Allah protect us from that.
