Ruling on rejecting a suitor who has no wealth but is trustworthy and religious

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! In the story of the woman who came to consult the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding those who had proposed to her, he said: "As for so-and-so, he is a pauper with no wealth."
Is it permissible to reject a suitor who is trustworthy and religious but has no wealth?

The hadith you referred to is about Fatimah bint Qays. Three men proposed to her: Mu'awiyah, Abu Jahm, and Usamah ibn Zayd. She came to consult the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: "These men have proposed to me." He advised her, and the one who is consulted must be trusted; he must point out the defects and the qualities. He said to her: (As for Mu'awiyah, he is a pauper with no wealth) This man who had no wealth became the Caliph of the Muslims and their leader. (And as for Abu Jahm, he is a beater of women) He frequently beats women.
(So marry Usamah,She said: so she married Usamah and was pleased with him) This is evidence that a woman may reject a suitor if he is poor, but it is better if he is of good character and religion that she marries him. This applies to women just as it does to men.The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty, and her religion. So seize the one with religion, and may your hands be dusted) .
