The Shaykh : He reminds them with the remembrance, which is the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and what the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) brought. Then He clarifies that by the grace of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) upon him with this great revelation, he was not among the fortune-tellers nor one of the insane. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), before the revelation was sent to him, was called al-Amin (the Trustworthy) by the people of Makkah, and they trusted him with the greatest trust. But when Allah bestowed the revelation upon him, they became, may Allah protect us, his enemies, accusing him with every defamatory title. They said: He is a poet, a fortune-teller, an insane person, a sorcerer, a liar, and other bad titles they attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to deter people from his call and to slander him. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says to him: [At-Tur 52:29].
