The Ruling on Seeking the Aid of Disbelievers According to the Tawhid Party

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Glory be to Allah, they are so enthusiastic and have their ideas. As for seeking the aid of disbelievers, they call it "support." They take a hadith that occurred during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when Islamic power was at its peak, even though this contradicts what? The principle established by the Prophet himself when he said:
We do not want any help from a polytheist. إنَّا لا نستعين بمشرك
Sunan Abi Dawud 2732
. So they reversed the principle and built their party on what? On seeking support. Perhaps you know that in some stages of their da'wah, they may have sought support from Iraq, or intended to seek it, and they do not hesitate about this, no matter what.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Their evidence, excuse me, Professor, the evidence they rely on regarding support.

The Shaykh: Some incidents occurred in the Sirah where the Prophet (peace be upon him) sought the aid of some polytheists.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: Yes, but I am saying that the Prophet did this under special circumstances, and I said this was during the time of the strength and dominance of the Muslim state. Even though he said:
We do not want any help from a polytheist. إنَّا لا نستعين بمشرك
Sunan Abi Dawud 2732
. Other hadiths: "A man from among the polytheists came to fight with him. He said to him: Go back; for we do not appoint a polytheist as a leader." So they reversed the issue from two sides. First: they did not notice the difference between their weakness today and the general weakness of Muslims, and the strength of Muslims in that era. So the scope of discussion, meaning the reality, is broad in this issue. In any case, we ask Allah to guide all our Muslim brothers to what is good and right. And perhaps this extent is sufficient.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And to you.

The questioner : And the truth is, this is a happy opportunity.

The Shaykh : May Allah make you happy in this world and the Hereafter.

The questioner: And I ask Allah that the youth benefit from what I have said.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you.

The questioner: And that He bless your life and benefit through you, if Allah wills.

The Shaykh: May Allah protect you. Also, we thank you for clarifying some facts that many people are unaware of.
