The Shaykh : The question came before the middle of the night.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Perhaps he meant after the middle of the night. In any case, we say that departing from Muzdalifah is not restricted to the middle of the night; rather, it is restricted to the end of the night. This is because Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to watch the moon; when it set, she would depart. If people are in the same vehicle, their ruling is one. If they depart at the end of the night for the sake of the weak and the women, they all depart together, because separating them would cause hardship for them, and the religion is one of ease and simplicity. If, for example, there are sixty passengers in this bus, twenty of whom are weak people who need to move forward to stone the pillars before the dawn breaks, then it is permissible for the remaining forty to go with them in this bus, because they are one group, and their separation would result in hardship. Yes.
