What is the ruling on going to the hairdresser to style or cut the hair at the husband's request?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: What is the ruling on going to the hairdresser, male or female, to style or cut the hair, when my husband asks me to do so, since I do not know how to do it myself? Is it permissible for me to go and pay her for it?

The Shaykh : I have heard that the hairdresser takes a lot of money for a small amount of work. Moreover, some of these hairdressers cannot be trusted regarding the hair they take, and they cannot be trusted to style the hair in a way that imitates the hairstyles of disbelieving women. We do not know. What I see is that women can learn this among themselves at home; a woman who has had her hair cut by a hairdresser can teach others how to imitate the style, and the matter is easy in this regard. I mean, if the women did the styling for one another at home, and we all know how to imitate it, instead of spending large sums of money on these hairdressers, from whom one is not safe in every respect. Yes.
