What do you say, O honorable Shaykh, about a man who prayed Maghrib and forgot the first tashahhud, and the people praying behind him did not remind him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: What do you say, O honorable Shaykh, about a man who prayed Maghrib and forgot the first tashahhud, and the congregation did not remind him? He thought he had sat for the first tashahhud, so he said the taslim to end the prayer, and no one reminded him. He did not perform the prostration for forgetfulness. After the people dispersed, he asked the mu'adhdhin: "Did you sit for the first tashahhud?" The mu'adhdhin said: "You did not sit for the tashahhud." What is the ruling in this case?

The Shaykh : If the man who stood up from the first tashahhud was doing so out of forgetfulness, and he was then reminded, if the time was recent, he performs the prostration for forgetfulness and there is no blame on him. If the time has passed and a long period has elapsed, the prostration for forgetfulness is dropped from him, and his prayer is valid.
