The Shaykh : Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified the ruling on this when he said: . If a person cuts the hair of his male or female children in the style of the heads of the disbelievers, he commits a sin. The Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) commented on this hadith: . He said: The least of the rulings for this hadith is prohibition, even though its apparent meaning implies that the one who imitates them is a disbeliever, because he said: . So a person should fear his Lord and know that he is accountable for the upbringing of his children. Yes.
