What are the conditions for correcting the imam if he makes a mistake in his recitation during prayer, given that some imams do not wait and repeat the recitation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: O honorable Shaykh, what are the conditions for correcting the imam if he makes a mistake in his recitation during prayer, given that some imams do not wait and repeat the recitation?

The Shaykh : And what does "do not wait" mean?

The questioner : He repeats the recitation from the beginning.

The Shaykh : Correcting the imam in prayer is necessary, whether in al-Fatihah or in other recitations. If the imam hears the correction, he must return to the correct recitation. Some imams say, "If people correct me, I get confused and am unable to read." We say: Praise be to Allah, the cure for this is easy. What is the cure? He should bow. If he bows, there is no harm. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once recited Surat al-Mu'minun in the Fajr prayer
Certainly will the believers have succeeded: قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
[Al-Mu'minun 23:1]
When he reached the story of Musa and Harun, he was struck by a cough—meaning a fit of coughing—so he stopped and bowed. Similarly, if the imam gets confused, let him bow. Every disease has a cure, and praise be to Allah. However, for him to tell the people, "Do not correct me," is a mistake. If they correct him, he must rectify it. The Qur'an is the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and it must be as it was revealed. Yes.
