The time of the Fajr prayer.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the fifth time, Allah the Exalted said: , which distinguishes it from what came before it, , because the time of Fajr is separated from what came before it and from what came after it.
How is that?
From the middle of the night until the appearance of the dawn, it is not a time for an obligatory prayer.
From the appearance of the dawn until the rising of the sun is the time for Fajr.
From the rising of the sun until its zenith, it is not a time for an obligatory prayer.
And for this reason, the Qur'an came specifically for the Fajr prayer.
He said:
But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) referred to the dawn with its Qur'an, because the recitation is long in the Fajr prayer.
And by this we know that what is between the middle of the night and the appearance of the dawn is not a time for an obligatory prayer. So if a woman becomes pure from menstruation after the middle of the night,
is the 'Isha' prayer obligatory upon her?
No, because she became pure after the time had passed. Similarly, if she became pure after the rising of the sun, the Fajr prayer would not be obligatory upon her, because she became pure after the time had passed.
Now, these are the five times. May Allah reward you.
