The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them in excellence until the Day of Judgment. It is narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that he saw a man leaning on his left hand on the palm of his hand, and he said: However, I have not verified this hadith in a way that would allow me to reach a level where I can judge its authenticity. But it is known that if this is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it indicates caution regarding this manner of sitting and avoiding it, because it is not befitting for a Muslim who seeks the pleasure of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to imitate those against whom anger has been invoked. For the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 4031Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani) Imitating a people is for a person to do what is specific to them in terms of appearance, clothing, and the like.
