The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: And upon you peace.

The questioner : How is my Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, I am well.

The questioner : O Shaykh, may I ask a question?

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : Shaykh, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was reported to have said:
If you knew what I know, you would not have taken pleasure in women on your beds لو تعلمون ما أعلم ولما تلذَّذْتم بالنساء على الفرش
or as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : The question is: May we know, I mean, this knowledge that he (peace and blessings be upon him) possessed?

The Shaykh : You may, but you are not equal to him.

The questioner : Okay, what is this knowledge?

The Shaykh : Knowledge of the specific person in Paradise and the specific person in the Hellfire.

The questioner : I mean, did he (peace and blessings be upon him) fear the Hellfire, for example?

The Shaykh : Of course: "They worship us"
with desire and fear رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا
.

The questioner : Okay (peace and blessings be upon him), I mean, if the Companions were given glad tidings of Paradise, did he fear that he would die other than upon Islam? How would he be punished when he is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : Who is being punished, my brother? Why are you inserting into the matter something that has no relation to: "If you knew what I know."

The questioner : Did he fear the punishment, that he would be punished?

The Shaykh : He may have feared the punishment for his Ummah, and for his Companions who were not protected like his protection.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : And what is your business with delving into such matters?

The questioner : I mean, does it benefit in that it is from the deeds of the heart, or does it not benefit from this aspect?

The Shaykh : Of course, it is from the deeds of the heart.

The questioner : So, if a person is able to know this knowledge!

The Shaykh : He cannot know all the knowledge that Allah guides you to.

The questioner : Or I mean, some of it.

The Shaykh : Yes, some of it exists and is explained, and most of it people do not know. Peace be upon you, yes.

The questioner : ... Glory be to Him in whose hand is the dominion of all things.

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah.

The questioner : Praise be to Allah.
