The Shaykh Al-Albani’s clarification of his fatwa that circulated regarding the emigration of the Palestinians, and his explanation that the schemers intended to cause fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) through their campaign.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And the discussion is between us, so if he is convinced by that, then we elect him on the basis of: "the lesser of two harms."

The questioner: All right.

The Shaykh : On our principle.

The questioner : Now, in my capacity as the imam of the neighborhood, for example, am I allowed to promote his election campaign?

The Shaykh : That depends on your opinion. If you agree with us on the principle of "the lesser of two evils," then fully mitigating the evil is promoting the choice of the lesser of the two evils.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : As for the other issue.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : He strongly condemns him, asking how he participated with these people!

The questioner: Yes, by Allah.

The Shaykh : And you do not know the Shaykh’s opinion, just this word that he leaves.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : And we distinguish between those who say: "they leave," and those who say: "they emigrate."

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Then the strange thing about these people! If we assume that the total number of Palestinians is six million, if we filter out the Ba’athists, the communists, the materialists, and the reformists—if that is the correct term—what will remain?!

The questioner : A very few!

The Shaykh : A very few. What is the proportion of this very few who responded to the Shaykh’s call?

The questioner : The least of the very few!

The Shaykh : Where is this storm that the group stirred up? Glory be to Allah!

The questioner : The same words Shaykh 'Umar said: meaning, one and a half million, how are they going to get one and a half million out of there?

The Shaykh : Yes, do you see your words?

The questioner : So he was not reasonable, Dr. 'Umar, may Allah reward him with good, meaning.

The Shaykh : In fact, the problem is that most people are emotional; none of them looks beyond the tip of his nose, from here to there. It does not mean he looks with both eyes, but rather he closes one and opens the other, and then with that other one he does not look beyond the tip of his nose. Darkness upon darkness.

The questioner : Our Shaykh, I say: In our discussion with some of these people, I say: Allah (Mighty and Majestic) explicitly forbids and makes haram (forbidden) riba (usury or interest) in the Qur'an. Have they stopped? They have not stopped from riba. Now they want to come and hold onto the Shaykh Nasir’s fatwa and let the rest leave?!

The Shaykh : Then the strange thing is that this oppressive, destructive person: the poor man says that he sees the obligation of the Algerians to emigrate to the Jews. Now, is there not one person, is there not at least one person, on the occasion of responding to Al-Albani, who responded to this oppressor who says: "If he had the choice, he would choose life under Jewish occupation!"

The questioner : Agreeing with the Jews, our Shaykh, this is it.

The Shaykh : This is it, so the whole issue is desire upon desire.

The questioner : Yes.

Another questioner : May Allah bless you, you know that some Bosnian families came to the country here.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : Stay there, die there, do not leave, and die in Bosnia there. What does this mean? Why did you distinguish between the two cases? So the response now, may Allah bless you, to Salah al-Khalidi, who says: "That Shaykh Al-Albani and his students see that those who die in the intifada are suicides." So this statement, may Allah bless you, what do you respond to it now? Because we want this tape to hear them and say to him: Dr. Salah, fear Allah. We know that you say about yourself that your creed is the Salafi creed, and that you are keen on the creed of the Salaf al-Salih (the earliest generations), and you say the Shaykh is a scholar, you say this. Why now do you say the Shaykh says this andThe Shaykh : he did not say it, neither explicitly nor by hint, neither by gesture nor by phrase.

The Shaykh : You know that we are often asked about those who are called the stone-throwing children!

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : What is your opinion?! We do not see that this is beneficial or useful; rather, it harms over time, and the blood of our youth is wasted in vain without any progress.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : So we are asked: What is your opinion about these people?! The answer: They and their intentions. I have not said, nor do I imagine, nor do I see in a dream that I say: That they are suicides. But it is the desires, "and your love of a thing blinds and deafens." And these respondents, all of them, from the best to the worst, may be included in one or more of the three characteristics about which he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Three destructive traits: Obedient stinginess, followed desire, and the self-admiration of every person who has an opinion in his opinion. ثلاث مهلكات : شحٌّ مطاع ، وهوى متَّبع ، وإعجاب كلِّ ذي رأيٍ برأيه
. The first two are realized. "Obedient stinginess": No, perhaps for some of them, it has no relation to the issue. But:
desires being followed, this world being preferred (to the Hereafter), every person with an opinion feeling proud of it وهوى متَّبع ، وإعجاب كلِّ ذي رأيٍ برأيه
Sunan Ibn Majah 4014Hasan (Darussalam)
this is a reality—unfortunately—firmly established, because they mean they care about an issue. According to what reached me, the one from the Faculty of Sharia was a bit Azhari. Did you see the article?

The questioner : His handwriting is a bit good, meaning.

The Shaykh: Huh?

The questioner : His handwriting is neat, it does not leave room for anyone else.

The Shaykh : That is it.

The questioner : An article by the noble man, meaning.

The Shaykh : The important thing is that his style was soft, but I do not have knowledge, I have not read this article, but I imagine that the one who responds to the explicit verse and the continuation of jihad until the doors of repentance are closed?! Meaning, the best a person can say in responding to Al-Albani is: "My brother, he did not consider the circumstances." But this is a word of truth that should not be said now. They did not say it is a word of truth, they did not say it.
