What is the ruling on drinking while standing for one who enters after the adhan and when the iqamah is called?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding drinking while standing, if he entered the mosque and the mu'adhdhin is calling the adhan...; should he drink while standing, or should he go outside the mosque and drink?

The Shaykh : He should not drink while standing, nor should he go outside the mosque. Do you see, if he sat in a squatting position, is he considered to be sitting in the mosque? Do you know what a squatting position is? You don't know?

Another questioner : He knows it.

The Shaykh : Look, this applies to him, so he does not sit until he prays two rak'ahs; did he sit?

The questioner : He sat.

Another questioner : He did not sit.

The Shaykh : Is this sitting? No, the ones sitting are us, our universities, but this is a squatting position, not sitting.

Another questioner : He sat in a squatting position.

The Shaykh : The first one, the second one: and he drank while in a squatting position; did he drink while standing?

Those present: No.

The Shaykh : So there is nothing left? So he did not contradict: "He forbade drinking while standing," nor did he contradict the prohibition of sitting in the mosque except after prayer. He did not contradict at all.

The questioner : ... standing ... he sat in a squatting position, so it is as if he sat here?

The Shaykh : But this is not absolute sitting, Professor. So with your tongue and your mouth, I accuse you of saying: he sat in a squatting position. Why don't you say: he sat? Because they will understand from you absolute sitting, close to the ground, but you are forced to clarify the reality by saying: he sat in a squatting position.
