What is the ruling on drinking while standing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This is exactly like the answer of another Companion, and I mean Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), when he narrated the saying or prohibition of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that a man should not drink while standing. So a questioner asked: "What about eating?" He said: "Worse." "What about eating?" He said: "Worse." There is no ruling in the hadith regarding eating while standing; rather, the hadith contains the ruling on drinking while standing. It is from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding drinking while standing. So when he was asked about eating while standing, he answered by saying: It is worse than drinking while standing. At that point, this answer must be adopted because he is more knowledgeable about what was narrated than others. And this is, without doubt, restricted to cases where there is no text from the speech of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that contradicts the answer of this Companion or that one. With this, the answer regarding these two hadiths ends.

The questioner : And with this, the session ends.
Questioner: One shadow

The Shaykh : The session has ended, and Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise, I testify that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.
