The Shaykh was asked about the condition of the oppressed Salafis in some countries, and how they deal with those who oppose them there?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The matter is as He, the Exalted, said:
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
. So in terms of weakness and strength, your current situation is like the situation of many Salafis in many Islamic countries; it resembles the position of the Companions during the Meccan period in terms of weakness, not in terms of the rulings of the Shari'ah. I think you can distinguish between these two; because we sometimes hear some tapes that are almost explicit in saying that now we must return to the Meccan period. This involves denying the rulings of the Shari'ah, which is not permissible for a Muslim to fall into. May Allah have mercy on you. But in terms of weakness and strength, many Muslims in many Islamic countries are like the Companions during the Meccan period. So what were they doing? Were they confronting them? Say: No. And I will say more than that: Were they even thinking about confrontation? No. What were they thinking about? They were thinking about emigrating; that is, about hijrah. This is what happened at the beginning with the emigration to Abyssinia, then the second emigration, and then the emigration to Madinah.
