Abu Layla’s remarks on the Sunnah of shaving the newborn’s head and Shaykh Al-Albani’s choice of a name for Abu Layla’s daughter.

Abu Layla : Before we came to you, we shaved her head, may Allah make her beautiful. People are ignorant, Shaykh. What do you shave for her, my brother? It is forbidden. Her hair is beautiful, and I don’t know what to do. But if you follow the Sunnah...

The Shaykh : May Allah make her a joy to the eyes of her parents and make her one of the daughters of happiness in this world and the Hereafter, if Allah wills.
Abu Layla : By Allah, we ask Allah to preserve you and bless your life.

The Shaykh : Let’s see the names. May Allah make it so, this is a list... I say between Buraydah and Maymunah, so choose from these two. Buraydah, in the name of Allah.
Abu Layla : May Allah reward you with good. May Allah bless you, our Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And may He bless you.
Abu Layla : Are you reassured? It has been a week for them, Shaykh, and they are waiting for this moment.

The Shaykh : May Allah make it so. May Allah bless all the children and offspring and make them righteous offspring who are a joy to the eyes of their parents.
Abu Layla : May Allah preserve you, our Shaykh.
