Discussion of Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Laylayah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Laylayah has many very similar examples in the biographies of the narrators of the Prophetic hadith. The reason for the weakness of this Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Laylayah is not an accusation against his character or a suspicion regarding his truthfulness, but rather due to the weakness of his memory resulting from his preoccupation with jurisprudence. Therefore, his hadith is open to being strengthened by a corroborating narration from someone of his level, or a supporting chain from someone of his level, let alone from someone who is more precise in memory and control than he is. This hadith is of that type, and that is why I told you at the beginning of reciting this hadith that it is hasan, meaning hasan for other reasons.
