Explaining the ruling on post-natal bleeding and mentioning its minimum and maximum duration.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Likewise, the fact that it is a clot entails post-natal bleeding. The scholars said: If a woman delivers something less than a clot, the blood that affects her is not post-natal bleeding, so she fasts and prays, and nothing harms her.
And if she delivers a formed lump, her blood is post-natal bleeding, and all the rulings of post-natal bleeding apply to it, so she does not pray, does not fast, and her husband does not come to her.
Now, here we ask: If it is established that this blood is post-natal bleeding, what is the duration of post-natal bleeding? There is no limit to the minimum of post-natal bleeding. A woman may give birth and remain in a state of post-natal bleeding for 10 days and then become pure, or for 20 days and then become pure, or for 30 days and then become pure, and this is a reality.
So if she becomes pure before forty days, the rulings of those who are pure apply to her. It is obligatory for her to pray, and to fast or not fast? Yes, she fasts, and she reads the Qur'an, and her husband comes to her or not? Yes, her husband comes to her, and there is no dislike in that.
So if she becomes pure after twenty days, we tell her: Take a bath, pray, fast, read the Qur'an, and do what those who are pure do, and she is lawful for her husband without any dislike.
