Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.

The questioner : How are you, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, I am well.

The questioner : May you be well.

The Shaykh : May Allah make you well. Praise be to Allah.

The questioner : With you is your brother, Waleed al-Zu'abi, from al-Kharj.

The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner : The people of al-Kharj send their greetings to you, O Shaykh Muhammad al-Harithi, along with some students of knowledge.

The Shaykh : And how is he?The Shaykh : Muhammad?

The questioner : By Allah, he is well.

The Shaykh : Send him many greetings.

The questioner : If Allah wills.

The Shaykh : And what do you have? What do you have?

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh. I have a question. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : Right now, regarding my situation, I am currently collecting donation funds for the sponsorship of orphans in Afghanistan. I collect them with me for several months, gathering them from here, and then I send them. I may delay sending them for four or five months. I send them to them when I am free, because they do not need them there. For example, if I give them an amount of 100,000 or 150,000, they invest it until the second installment. And sometimes I need some of what I have, like 5,000 or 10,000, on the condition that I will repay it as soon as possible, so I take from it. Is this action permissible or not?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible.

The questioner : Why, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Because you are the guarantor for them, so it is not permissible for you to dispose of them except by disposing of them in what you are the agent for.

The questioner : Yes, that is right. So, is it permissible if I invest them for their benefit?

The Shaykh : It is permissible.

The questioner : Invest them for their benefit.

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : I am asking, is it permissible to invest this amount for their benefit?

The Shaykh : No, no, it is not permissible. You must send it to them.

The questioner : Because I do not send it to them monthly.

The Shaykh : I understood you. Either you keep it as it is, and you do not extend your hand to it, and you do not invest it either for the benefit of the poor and the needy.

The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And may Allah protect you, if Allah wills.

The questioner : Well, peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
