The Shaykh : The hadith following the previous one, which is his statement (peace be upon him)
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: O Allah, make the provision of Muhammad's family sufficient just to sustain life.
Sahih Muslim 1055
The hadith after that is very weak. As for the one after that, it is a sound hadith, and it is his statement: "And from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Three things follow the dead person
Look at this depiction of the value of wealth in this life. He (peace be upon him) said:
Three things follow the dead person: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two return and one remains. His family and his wealth return, and his deeds remain
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 1:230
If you know that you will inevitably have to do without it and leave it behind you, gaining nothing from it, then be light in your burden, for this wealth is something you will inevitably have to leave behind. And increase in righteous deeds. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Three things follow the dead person: his family and his wealth
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34:538
The word "wealth" may be confusing to some: how does it follow him? The family, of course, are the ones who accompany him, so how does the wealth follow him? It was explained in the past based on what was the reality at the time, and we can explain it today with a new reality, whether it conforms to the Shari'ah or contradicts it, because it is a reality in any case. The wealth here that follows the dead person was explained as slaves and servants, and this is still observed regarding some kings who still enslave some people. This is based on the reality of that time. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Three things follow the dead person: his family and his wealth
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34:538
