Explanation of the Book of the Hearts-07b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Al-Humaydi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Amr ibn Hazm narrated to us that he heard Anas ibn Malik say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When carried to his grave, a dead person is followed by three, two of which return (after his burial) and one remains with him: his relative, his property, and his deeds follow him; relatives and his property go back while his deeds remain with him. يتبع الميت ثلاثة فيرجع اثنان ويبقى معه واحد يتبعه أهله وماله وعمله فيرجع أهله وماله ويبقى عمله
Sahih al-Bukhari 6514

The Shaykh : Yes, so it is more fitting for us to take care of the companion that remains, which is the deed. For three things follow the deceased: his family, to accompany him to the grave, and his wealth, such as the slaves he owns, for they follow their master when he dies, and they are his wealth. And his deed is clear. Two return, namely the family and the wealth, and one remains. If it were said that the wealth is what may be on the deceased's bier, such as a covering, or similar, or what a person is honored with because of his wealth, meaning those who accompany him not for kinship but for the wealth, if that were said, it would have a basis. Thus, the wealth could be understood to encompass three things. And what are they, O Abdullah?
The reciter: First, this is the slaves.

The Shaykh : These slaves, and they are truly wealth.
The reciter: Second, the shroud, the shroud.

The Shaykh : The shroud does not return.
The reciter: Okay, what is the second thing they follow for the sake of his wealth? The second thing they follow for the sake of his wealth.

The Shaykh : Yes, meaning the intended meaning of wealth is those who follow him for the sake of the wealth, yes. The third?
The reciter: His family.

The Shaykh : His family is first, yes, O Bukhari.
The reader: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, it may be the covering on the deceased's bier and similar things, yes. Okay, this also poses a problem regarding its suitability for the translation. It poses a great problem. Is there evidence regarding the death throes? Glory be to Allah.
The reciter: It may be because of its connection to the Hereafter.

The Shaykh : That is not sufficient. It is as if you are saying you brought a hadith that does not relate to the last thing, yes.
The reciter: It says here: Because every deceased person suffers the death throes.

The Shaykh : Ah?
The reciter: It says here regarding the correspondence: Because every deceased person suffers the death throes, as mentioned before.

The Shaykh : In any case, let us proceed. Al-Bukhari knows best what he has.
