Discussion of the Asha'irah's deviation regarding the issue of cause and effect.

The Shaykh : But the Asha'irah, glory be to Allah, deviated to an extreme degree. They denied both the scientific and the Shari'ah reality, and they persisted in their denial, saying that the knife does not cut, the fire does not burn, the water does not quench thirst, and the food does not satisfy hunger. But Allah creates the quenching of thirst at the time of drinking, the satisfaction of hunger at the time of eating, the cutting at the time the knife is passed, and the burning at the time the fire is lit. The matter reached the point of denying the letter "ba" of causality mentioned in many verses of the Qur'an, let alone the Prophetic hadiths.
