Continuation of the explanation of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): (or the command of the general public).
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: And finally: the sixth characteristic in this hadith: , the command of the general public is the death that encompasses the general public; that is, it is an allusion to the Hour, for the Hour comes after those characteristics mentioned in the hadith, except for the specific death of the individual; for that comes to him before the Hour occurs. However, some preachers say: "Whoever dies, his Hour has occurred," and this is correct; because with his death, everything has ended; so either he will be happy and meet the reward of his righteous deeds, or he will be wretched, the opposite of that.
The summary of this hadith is very clear; and it is that a person should not rely on this worldly life and should not be distracted by it, and should not be preoccupied with it from what is obligatory for him to attend to his soul before he is suddenly struck by one of these six matters, the closest of which to him is death, which was named in the Qur'an as the certainty.
