Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: I am a woman who says: I fasted the six days of Shawwal, and on the last day of fasting I felt menstrual cramps and some brownish discharge came with me on that day, but the blood did not come down until night. Is this fasting valid, or must I repeat this day? I ask your eminence to inform me?

The Shaykh : The answer is that this day is valid, meaning the fasting of this day is valid, because the blood did not come down until after the sun had set. If a woman feels the onset of menstruation but the blood does not come down until after the sun has set, then her fast is valid, whether it is obligatory or voluntary.
