What is your opinion regarding the screen placed over a deceased woman on her bier to cover her, and does a woman have an awrah (part of the body that must be covered) when alive and when dead?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is your esteemed opinion regarding the screen placed over a deceased woman on her bier to cover her? The question is: does a woman have an awrah (part of the body that must be covered) when alive and when dead? And is this screen part of the Sunnah? If it is part of the Sunnah, why is it not alive and practiced? May Allah reward you with the best reward.

The Shaykh : There is no doubt that if the screen is placed over the bier of a deceased female, it is more concealing for her, because sometimes women’s funerals are brought out where a person can see the size of the deceased completely, and the sections of her body become apparent, which is a matter that is not desirable in reality. And what exists in the Hijaz, especially in Makkah, of placing this cover that is on the bier, there is no doubt that it is more concealing and further from seeing the deceased. As for the body of a female, whether alive or dead, it is not an awrah (part of the body that must be covered) unless she is wearing clothes that are tight against the body and reveal the sections of the body, in which case it is not permissible for her to do that. Yes.
